help me okay here it is. Two of my swords have white dots on them. Not fuzzy like fungus, they look like zits sort of. The one on one of the swords has
grown the other seems the same. Petsmart told me its probably a parasite so im treating them for that, i just hope thats it. I lost the baby i raised, a platy
i have had for months and he moved with us. He had been lethargic and hardly eating, all others are acting normal. I hope i don't loose my fishys.

It may be a parasite. If that dont work treat it as a fungus but do a water change.

Water change after the treatment. Remove all active carbon from your tank also cause it will suck up the meds. Are the fish getting better? Im not really sure
where the parasites come from. Have you bought new fish lately? When I get a problem with one of my tanks its usually a fungus problem cause anything can cause
that like a temp change.

Mellafix is a very good med. You can get it from Walmart. I use it for everything. Also did you add salt to your tank? One tablespoon to every five gallons. If
you dont have aquram salt you can use table salt just make sure it dont have idone in it. It has to be idone free.
Glad to help I have been dealing with tanks for a while now. I had fish with that bump on it before and i never got rid of it but the fish were fine. I think it was on my swordtails. Have A Nice Day!! ![]() |

yeah my infected ones are swords also. Two females a marigold and a pineapple. The pineapples was smaller and appears to be going away. The marigolds has
gotten larger so i don't know what the heck is going on, i'm treating them with maracyn.............i might have to add the salt, i don't have
aquriam salt right now.

Could it be a change in the water?

change in the water could be possiable. But that mainly causes a fungus. I really think the bumps could be a type of fungus but i may be wrong. You dont need
aqurium salt. Use non iodized salt.
