HSUS.....not what they seem!!! |

The Humane Society of the US claims to help dogs and cats but they don't do what they say. They do not own any shelters, nor do they send money to any of
them. This video was one they had removed from you tube, but it's on the foreign ones. Watch it before they manage to get it pulled from there!

Thanks Meg., I believe most of that is true...I'll repost the link so it will be easier to get to..
HSUS Video I have mixed feeling on HSUS. I agree they don't do all they should for the amount of money that they get. And they don't do anything to help the shelters that ends up with the animals they free from different situations. They just broke up several dog fighting rings here near where I live, the local shelters ended up with over 80 dogs. And was begging the public for help in caring for them. The HSUS figured they had done their part in freeing the dogs, now it was up to the locals to take care of them. My feeling is the dog fighting would still be going on if not for HSUS, but they should do more to help take care of them. The dogs have to be kept until all the cases are finished in court. It is a huge expense on the shelters. |

Yeah Michelle they will be put down, a lot of them already has been because they were so aggressive they couldn't be handled at all. The shelter had to get
special permission from the court to put them down because they were evidence in the cases. In Ohio a dog that has been used for fighting is not adoptable. I
wish I could make the laws. I would force the people that made them that way keep and take care of them.
Here's just one of the cases we've had in the last couple of years...this case is still open. Dog fighting case

Too bad for the dogs. But like they said....the HSUS goes out there on these big cases, but then the shelters get all the dogs, and no money to keep them with.

Your local SPCA and humane society are excellent places to give. You can't go wrong there and the HSUS doesn't even give money to the small shelters.

Yeah I like to keep it local.. But here's a group that I really like. I'd give anything if I could join them, but I don't have what it takes..They
were featured in our paper by the pets columnist .

Kind of interesting. Not your usual rescue! Why couldn't you be a volunteer? Foster dogs or cats like I do.

I would love to foster them, but I live in a small town and it would be really hard to find homes for them. And we both have a problem with letting animals go
after we get used to them..as you can tell, we have 7 cats, 4 dogs, and 9 pet chickens, and all the wildlife around here thinks they're our pets too. lol
So we just do what we can for the other fosters and rescues... Lol, here's one yesterday evening, bumming me for food. lol

She's got a nest about 10 feet from where she's standing and don't like to get too far away. I usually throw her some corn or something when I go
out there, didn't have anything to give her this time tho.

Ohhh, it's nothing. lol...Almost wasn't so nice yesterday. I was mowing the grass out by the garden and a little bunny almost ran under the mower deck,
twice. I've had that happen before. They must think it's safe under there. Makes a heck of a mess.

HSUS was at it again. They were attempting to get HR2811 the ban on all pythons passed. USARK helped amend the bill so that only the IMPORT of burmese and rock
pythons would be on the bill. If you're not a member of USARK, join now and get the latest anti-reptile information.
